Stephanie L. Ackler is Managing Director – Investments and head of Ackler Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors, which she established shortly after joining a predecessor firm in 2001. With over 27 years in the financial industry, Stephanie brings not only the experience of a Chartered Financial Analyst, but also the insight that comes from staying tapped into market changes and industry trends.
Stephanie helps her clients manage their futures, allowing them to live the lives they have always wanted to live. Stephanie works in an investment advisory relationship with both discretionary and non-discretionary control. She also offers clients a complete view of their financial future by leveraging the estate planning, trust and insurance resources available through the firm. Prior to joining Wells Fargo Advisors, Stephanie worked for Tucker Anthony, LLC for 17 years. She was recognized by Barron’s as one of their Top 1,000 Advisors for 2009* and as a Chairman Council member at Wells Fargo Advisors in 2011.
Stephanie is a member of the CFA Institute and the New York Society of Security Analysts, where she is Chair of the Private Wealth Management Committee. She is an active member of the Financial Women’s Association of New York, and holds leadership positions by serving on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Investment Policy Committee. She was also co-chair of the Daughters 2000 committee, which focused on developing financial literacy in girls ages 8 to 18. Since 1998, Stephanie has also been an active participant in the Women Presidents’ Organization, a group of women who run their own businesses and work to develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills. In 2011 Stephanie was invited to join the Franklin and Marshall College Alumni Leadership Council.
A global citizen, Stephanie looks beyond the island of Manhattan for inspiration and ideas and continues to become more knowledgeable about the world markets through her travel abroad. She spent the first fortnight of April 2011 traveling in Brazil as a delegate on the International Conference with the Financial Women’s Association meeting with businesses, investment bankers, economists, government officials and the US Ambassador to Brazil, Patrick Shannon where he explained his initiative Mais Unidos. In March 2007, Stephanie spent two weeks traveling in Vietnam and Cambodia as a delegate with the FWA International Conference. Spring of 2008 she was a delegate on their trip to Russia and continues to become more knowledgeable about the world markets and continued in May 2010 having visited the Ukraine and many business ventures and factories in both Kiev and Odessa.
Stephanie is currently serving on the Franklin and Marshall Alumni Leadership Board where she earned her BA in Chemistry. In 1980 she graduated Northfield Mount Hermon School. Stephanie also holds her Series 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations, and applicable insurance licenses.
Stephanie currently lives in Manhattan with her husband, Peter Chapin and their sons, Sam and Will. She enjoys biking, kayaking, music and continues to pursue her cello playing and is learning to windsurf and sail.
Christa Wittwer joined Ackler Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors in the fall of 2007 after seven years as a Senior Registered Client Associate.
Christa has more than 20 years experience in the financial industry and brings to Ackler Wealth Management the highest quality professional client service and a broad knowledge of US and International markets. She has her Series 7 and 63 security registrations and is studying for her Series 65.
Christa earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, with a concentration in international finance and a minor in foreign languages, from the University of Zurich. Born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, she is fluent in English, German and French. Her gift with languages is greatly beneficial in meeting and interacting with people of culturally diverse backgrounds, both professionally and personally.
A resident of Sutton Place in Manhattan, Christa enjoys, skiing, hiking and regular workouts at her health club. Her passion continues to be reading books in her native German language.
Dennis McLaughlin joined Ackler Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors in July of 2010. Dennis has assumed the role within Ackler Wealth Management as Registered Client Associate for Investment and Operations and is key to developing the use of technology and processes, as well as investment portfolio coordination, research and information management, building client relationships, and marketing and business development.
Dennis has 3 years prior experience working with high net worth and institutional clients as a bank services representative at the predecessor firm to Reich and Tang. He is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, and holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 registrations. Dennis is currently studying to become a Certified Financial Planner.
Dennis resides in Astoria, NY. He enjoys golf, and is on a roller hockey team in Manhattan.
